Locums Pediatric Cardiologist – Eastern Pennsylvania

Opportunity Overview

We are assisting one of our hospital clients (a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center) in Eastern Pennsylvania in securing a Pediatric Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage starting October 19, 2026. This assignment offers full-time coverage or a block schedule (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off shared between providers) to assist with ongoing coverage.

Practice & Schedule Details

• Setting: Combined Inpatient and Outpatient pediatric cardiology coverage

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM plus night and weekend call

• Call Coverage:

  • Night call plus Weekend call (5:00 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday)

  • 20-minute response time required

• Patient Volume:

  • 0–3 clinic patients per day

  • 0–3 admissions per shift

  • 1–5 phone consults per week

• Department & Facilities: 20–30 bed department providing comprehensive pediatric and adult congenital cardiology care

• EMR System: Cerner

Requirements

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology with Fellowship training required

• Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC state designation

• Certifications: Active ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required

• Profile Requirements: Clean NPDB and malpractice history

• Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days (Temporary privileges available)
