Locums Hematology & Oncology Physician – Western Washington

Opportunity Overview

We are assisting one of our hospital clients (a regional cancer institute) in Western Washington in securing a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist for full-time locum tenens coverage starting ASAP through March 2027.

Practice & Schedule Details

Setting: Combined Inpatient and Outpatient coverage

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Patient care M, T, W, F; Administrative day on Thursdays)

Call Coverage: Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call (Call Ratio 1:5; 30-minute response time)

Patient Volume: ~20 patients per shift

Support Staff: Robust clinical team including 40 RNs, 6 MAs, 3 PAs/NPs, and 7 office staff

EMR System: Epic

Requirements

Board Certification: BC in Hematology, Oncology, or Hem/Onc required

Licensure: Active Washington medical license or IMLC state designation

Certifications: Active DEA and BLS required

Credentialing Timeframe: 30–90 days (Temporary privileges available)
