Locum Tenens Outpatient Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician

Job Description

We are assisting one of our outpatient community health center clients in Northern California with securing ongoing locum tenens coverage for a full-time primary care physician.

Opportunity Highlights & Facility Details:

  • Setting: 100% Outpatient (No call, no inpatient, no weekend duties)

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Volume: Average of 16–18 patients per day (mix of pediatric and adult patients; Family Medicine preferred, but Internal Medicine with adult/peds experience considered)

  • EMR: Epic

  • Support Staff: 1 RN, 2 MAs per provider

  • Scope: General outpatient primary care including chronic pain management; gynecology/well-woman care and prenatal care preferred

Requirements:

  • Licensing: Active California medical license required

  • Certification: Board Certified (or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency completion) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

  • Certifications: Active DEA and BLS required

  • Additional Details: Preferred enrollment in Medi-Cal (ORP) or willingness to enroll during the credentialing process; candidates must be able to account for all employment gaps with month/year formatting on CVs
